Most personal trainers count your reps. We prescribe you a custom plan based on your individual physiology.

Personal training usually means an hour with a trainer who counts your reps and gives you the same workout they do themselves. Progress gets judged by the scale and the mirror, and nobody measures what’s changing underneath.

The way we work is clinical. Assess first, prescribe a plan based on your metrics, then measure again and adjust based on real data.

Typical personal training compared with training at The LOOK
Typical training At The LOOK
Starts with A workout A full-body composition scan, comprehensive movement assessment and nutrition review
The program A general routine, often the trainer’s own Written for your individual physiology, injury history and goals
Progress is judged by The scale and the mirror Re-measuring lean mass, body fat and performance metrics over time

Every client starts with the Deep Health Assessment

  • Complimentary
  • 45 minutes
  • Private
  • By appointment

Before anyone writes you a program, you should know what you’re working with. The assessment gives you your numbers, and gives us what we need to decide whether we’re the right fit.

  • Full-body composition scan

See exactly what’s muscle and what isn’t. A bathroom scale can’t tell you that.

  • Movement assessment

How you squat, hinge, push and pull, plus your injury history, in detail.

  • In-depth analysis of your current diet and training

What you’re eating, how you’re training now, and what’s working against you.

  • Your custom prescription plan

Built from your baseline and your goals, and mapped out before you commit to anything.

No obligation. Month-to-month memberships. If you’re not a fit, we’ll tell you.

Who this is for

Professionals from their late 30s into their 60s. Doctors, lawyers, business owners and executives who are short on time and would rather pay for results than guess.

  • You have more responsibility than free time

You run a practice, a firm or a company, and your calendar is already full. So the hour is planned before you walk in: set appointment times from 6 a.m., a program written for you, and a coach who tracks the numbers so you don’t have to.

  • You’re in your 40s, 50s or 60s and want to stay strong

Muscle and strength decline with age unless they’re trained. Progressive strength training is how you push back, programmed around your joints, your history and your schedule. You don’t need to get in shape first.

  • You’ve finished physical therapy and aren’t sure what’s next

Being discharged from PT doesn’t mean you’re ready for a gym floor. We pick up where rehab ends, training around the injury and progressing load carefully. Bryan has been there himself: a broken back at 18, then full reconstructive hip surgery.

  • You’re losing weight on a GLP-1 medication

Fast weight loss can take lean muscle with it. Resistance training helps preserve lean mass while the weight comes off, and regular body composition scans show whether it’s working. We coach the training. Your prescriber manages the medication.

    Training on a GLP-1

Who it isn’t for: anyone looking for a class with a playlist and a microphone, or a quick fix before a vacation. And if what you need is a medical professional, we’ll tell you.

No obligation. Month-to-month memberships. If you’re not a fit, we’ll tell you.

Training that works in tandem with your physician’s plan

LOOK clients have access to our partner concierge medical team for hormone optimization, peptide therapy and medical weight management, if it’s medically advisable. The physician prescribes the plan. We build your training to work in tandem with it, so you get the most out of your hormone support.

Available to LOOK clients only. Medical services are provided by an independent, licensed partner medical team via telehealth, not by The LOOK Fitness. All prescription decisions are made by the physician.

  • Hormone optimization and TRT

If the physician prescribes hormone therapy, including testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), your training is programmed to work with it.

  • Peptide therapy

Physician-guided peptide therapy where it’s appropriate, with your training and recovery planned around it.

  • Medical weight management

Including GLP-1 medications if they’re medically advisable. Resistance training helps preserve lean muscle while the weight comes off.

Bryan Greene, founder of The LOOK Fitness, in front of the studio’s illuminated logo

Meet Bryan Greene, founder and head coach

Bryan has rebuilt his own body three times. Six years on the US Ski Team, a broken back at 18, then full reconstructive hip surgery and a warning he would never ski again. The following year he was back on the mountain, competing and coaching for the United States Ski Association.

Years later a severe autoimmune condition put him in hospital, and he was told his strength training days were over. He went back to the science, rebuilt, and came back carrying more muscle than before. It's why nobody here gets a cookie-cutter program. He has coached in Orange County since 2007 and founded The LOOK in 2012.

What training costs

Transparent pricing. Because you should know before you apply.

Sessions are 60 minutes. Memberships are month-to-month, and every option starts with the complimentary Deep Health Assessment.

Why pay premium prices when an LA Fitness membership is $40 a month?

A gym membership buys access to equipment. This buys the result. An expert coach, custom programming for your training and nutrition based on your individual physiology, and one-on-one support in a private setting.

No obligation. Month-to-month memberships. If you’re not a fit, we’ll tell you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Something we haven’t covered? Call or text (949) 518-3480.

What is semi-private personal training?

Semi-private training is coached training in a small group where every person follows their own program. Sessions run 60 minutes and are capped at six people, so you share the coach’s attention with up to five others at the same appointment time, but not the workout. Semi-private membership is $650 a month for unlimited sessions on the semi-private schedule.

How much does personal training cost at The LOOK?

One-on-one personal training starts from $100 per session, sold in packages. Semi-private training is $650 a month for unlimited sessions, capped at six people per session. Both start with a complimentary Deep Health Assessment.

Why does it cost more than a gym membership?

A gym membership pays for access to equipment. Training here pays for a coach, a program written from your assessment, and regular measurement: body composition scans, strength numbers and movement checks. You can see what is changing, and the plan changes with it.

Am I too out of shape, too old or too injured to start?

No. The Deep Health Assessment exists so your program starts from where you are today, whether that means years away from training, your 60s, or recently finishing physical therapy. We train around injuries rather than through them, and if something needs a medical professional first, we will tell you.

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

No. Memberships are month-to-month, with no long-term contract. One-on-one training is sold in session packages, and the Deep Health Assessment is complimentary with no obligation.

Who will actually be coaching me?

The LOOK was founded by Bryan Greene, who has coached since 2007 and is still the head coach. Whoever you train with, your program is written from your Deep Health Assessment rather than handed out the same to everyone.

Should I strength train while taking a GLP-1 like Ozempic or Wegovy?

Resistance training helps preserve lean muscle during weight loss, which matters when weight comes off quickly. We coach the training and track lean mass with body composition scans. We do not prescribe or manage medication, so talk to your prescriber before starting any new program.

Do you offer TRT, peptides or GLP-1 medication?

Our clients have access to a partner concierge medical team that offers hormone optimization including testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), peptide therapy, and medical weight management including GLP-1 medications, by telehealth, if it is medically advisable. The LOOK does not prescribe: all prescription decisions are made by the physician. Our part is your training, which we build to work in tandem with the physician’s plan so you get the most out of your hormone support. Medical support is available to LOOK clients only.

How do I choose a personal trainer in Irvine or Newport Beach?

Ask three questions. What does the trainer measure before writing your program, and how often do they measure again? Who actually coaches your sessions, and what are they certified in? And what does it cost month to month, with no contract? At The LOOK every client starts with a complimentary assessment, Bryan Greene has coached since 2007, and pricing is published on this page.

What’s the difference between semi-private and one-on-one training?

Both run 60 minutes. In one-on-one training the coach works only with you for the whole session. In semi-private training the coach works with up to six people, each on their own program. One-on-one suits post-injury work and very specific goals; semi-private suits people who want individual programming, unlimited sessions and close coaching at a lower cost.

Where are you, and is there parking?

We are at 19732 MacArthur Blvd, Suite 130, Irvine, CA 92612, at MacArthur and Jamboree, across the street from the Newport Beach city line. Parking is complimentary and right outside the door. We open at 6 a.m. every day and stay open until 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
